The local Girl Scouts in Union and Baker county are looking for volunteers to run troops for interested girls. Troop leaders are given full support and training by local leaders and through an online GS program that maps out meetings for you. The commitment would be to run an hour long meeting every other week during the school year (September-May). Anyone interested please contact Angela D’Antonio via Facebook, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone at 919-272-0494. Thank you.
Save the Date: Thursday, February 22nd is a big day for SILG! This is the annual Community Grants Awards Recipient Luncheon, where we get to hand out the proceeds from the Festival of Trees to our very worthy community organizations. SILGers work hard at Festival of Trees, and our larger community demonstrates their support of our efforts, all so that we can share that support out to numerous organizations and agencies in our community that support women, girls, children and families in a variety of ways. Grant recipients typically have an opportunity to give us an update or insights into their program, and we learn about new ways we can further support and improve the quality of life for everyone in our community. It’s a true celebration of community spirit – get it on your calendar!
Lunch is provided for club members, we’ll be asking for RSVP as the time nears. Thank you!
