This is the day SILG distributes the Festival funds to grant recipients and it is the culmination of all our hard work! Lunch is provided, we just need club members to RSVP to Jacque at to make sure there are enough chairs and food for everyone. Come to mingle with our recipients and learn about the programs that support our community! If you would like to bring a VIP guest, please note that in your RSVP.

Community Grant Applications Posted

Community Grant Applications for 2017 will be accepted from the public from February 23 – March 31, 2017. These grants are funded through the annual Festival of Trees event, which will be held December 1-2, 2017 (fund distribution to follow 2/2018). Details may be found on the SILG website at in the Application tab under Community Grants.

Project Applications Open to SILGers

The 2016 Festival of Trees was so successful that after fulfilling the grant allocations, there is a balance of approximately $4000 to be put back into our community via SILG Club Member Only applications. If you know of a community project or organization that could use a boost, here is your opportunity to advocate on their behalf – talk about grassroots! These applications from club members must be turned in to Jacque no later than March 15th – the application is available on our website in the Members Only section, under “Forms.”

New SILG Email Address

Long story short, SILG now has both an official Soroptimist email address as well as a new Gmail address. President Ashley is monitoring both accounts, but most information club members receive will originate from the Gmail address. If you have marketing materials or scholarship applications, etc. that need a club address, please use the Gmail address. It is  Easy-peasy!
